The wing is in the way as ,moserArtist, had mentioned above. A longer exposure would reduce the wing being solidified into a position that doesn't seem intentional.

I find the view of the body through the wing to be an interesting feature of the image - it casts a veil across the body and creates interesting 'textures' in it's shadow. I quite like the slight 'distortion' it creates...

Thank you all for comments @ Patric: well, the wing (as a veil) was the general idea for this photo.. I have some with almost the same position of the dragonfly (without the wing over his head), but they are quite ordinary. I chose to post this one, because it is not that ordinary ;-)
